Just an FYI, it is not uncommon to wear soft armor or a padded jacket and whatnot underneath plate and mail. Skin contact to metal is generally not comfortable when movement is involved, not to mention that skin secretions can corrode metal surfaces - even stainless steel.

What kind of retard believes anyone would wear metal without clothes underneath? I'm more worried about the horse.
You know whats a cool mechanic, that incorporates pragmatism and realism?
You got infinite inventory, but only in your horse. You can't bring much with you, your potions and armor are all stored in the bags of the horse. You require the horse beside ya to opem that "vault" inventory.
And yours is not a warcharge, he will flee from combat and that's why there is no mounted combat.
There, simple. I gave you reason as to why you got horse to travel fast, infinite conditional inventory space, and no mounted combat - all good things for gameplay - all with realistic excuses.
